The best staycation ever
Took my husband here for his 60th birthday as a surprise with our family. I booked Giraffe Cottage (sleeps 8). It was just incredible from start to finish. The booking process was amazing. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Upon arrival they were incredibly discreet so my husband had no idea what last ahead. The hotel and grounds are exquisite. He was blown away. We had lunch in the bar and then had a private jeep safari to our cottage. We got to see amazing animals close up and it was life changing. The cottage itself was beautiful and our chef was waiting for us. We were presented with Prosecco, warm bread and olives and a lit fire in the garden. Our 3 course meal was served in the cosy kitchen. All delicious and beautifully presented to us. After dinner we went down to the Giraffe Lodge and stood on the balcony overlooking the most unbelievable vista and surrounded by giraffe, zebra and deer. Just awe inspiring. After a cooked breakfast prepared by our chef the following morning, we were collected for part 2 of our jeep safari. My husband and I then had a 1-hour giraffe encounter and fed them by hand. Wow. What an experience. Altogether simply magical in every way. Loved every second. Cannot recommend Port Lympne more highly.

The Best Ever Weekend at Port Lympne Reserve
Two families stayed in shepherds' huts next to each other in Deer creak for one night, and we had the most amazing time. We went on a safari over an hour, seeing the animals, and the lady driving had extensive knowledge about the animals and their countries of origin. We loved it. The staff across the site were upbeat, and helpful. The food onsite was lovely, the golf buggies were an absolute must as the site is massive, allowing us to see far more than we would have on foot. We also visited Howletts, which was included in our stay and that too was incredible. The elephants were definitely worth seeing; all the animals were in excellent condition had plenty of space, it really felt like we on safari in the jungle, we will definitely be going back in summer to enjoy the outside evening time with the animals
