Elephant Herd Update
Have you herd? This has been a really interesting year for our elephant herd, with some big changes and huge welfare improvements. The major change has been swapping our lovely bull elephant Jums with Coco from Cabarceno in Spain. Elephant Tusk Treatment at Howletts The young male, named Mchumba, had damaged his right tusk at the end of last year, removing the tip, and keepers were concerned that this could leave the youngster susceptible to an infection.
