The Mansion Hotel at Port Lympne Reserve offers 4* luxury with an exotic twist. Stay surrounded by rare and captivating species thriving in the Kent countryside and tread the halls of this early 20th century grade II listed country house, where royalty and aristocrats once walked before you.
Stay in a building steeped in history in one of eight themed rooms, based on prestigious former guests such as Sir Winston Churchill and T E Lawrence. All rooms sleep two people with each room offering a variety of views across the grounds. Relax in either a king-size bed, sleigh bed or four-poster.
The Mansion Hotel is host to a strikingly decorated ground floor with a stunning Moroccan Courtyard.
Location
Nestled in the Kent countryside, the Mansion Hotel at Port Lympne is home to over 800 rare and endangered species. The Reserve boasts sweeping views across Romney Marsh to the sea while nearer to the hotel you can take a stroll through Lime Tree walk.
Exclusive Access
You will have exclusive access to Port Lympne Reserve during and outside of normal visitor hours from check-in on the day of your arrival to the day of your departure. You can visit both wildlife parks - Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne Reserve - from 9.30am to closure (seasonal opening hours apply at Howletts). The use of a golf buggy to explore Port Lympne Reserve (with a valid driving licence) is also included in your stay.
The check-in time for your stay is at 3pm and the check-out time is at 11am.
Safari experience
All of our short breaks guests have a truck safari included in the cost of their stay. Your safari will take you on an adventure to see spectacled bears, giraffes, camels and more.
Eat & Drink
Breakfast is included in your stay at Port Lympne's Mansion Hotel.
For your lunch, afternoon tea and dinner you can choose from a variety of home cooked dishes, using local produce and ingredients grown in our kitchen gardens at our onsite restaurants and cafes. Nightlights packages include full access to our 600-acre Reserve and after sunset you will be invited to step into the secret after-dark world of Port Lympne to celebrate Port Lympne Illuminated. Forest fairies have enchanted the woodland walks and gardens of the Reserve to create a dazzling, illuminated celebration of their animal companions. You will discover a vintage-inspired funfair, fairy disco, delicious food and drink and 13 beautiful lighting installations celebrating the beauty of winter.

Departure time: 2pm on day of check out
Please note: During the Port Lympne Illuminated light trail (2pm onwards) guest access to golf buggies (valid at selected accommodations only) will be restricted to allow the festive fairies to work their enchantment over the Reserve.
Fine dining and entertainment
The Garden Room Restaurant offers an extensive range of fine wines, alongside a delicious breakfast, lunch and evening menu, designed by our Executive Chef. We use the very best seasonal produce from our own vegetable and herb gardens alongside locally sourced ingredients wherever we can.
Enjoy afternoon tea and delve into a delicious selection of sandwiches, homemade cakes and pastries including freshly baked scones, jam and clotted cream (pre-booking essential).
The Glyn Philpot bar is open every day serving speciality teas, coffee, soft drinks, wines and spirits.

Meet the animals
There are over 900 rare and endangered animals that call Port Lympne Reserve their home. Whilst you explore 600 acres, see our magnificent rhinos, cheetah, tigers, bears, gorillas and much more. Conservation is at the heart of what we do, so you can learn a little more about these beautiful animals during your short break. Your visit helps towards the care of our animals, and in turn our conservation work in the UK and overseas in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation.
Explore the Reserve
Enjoy 15 acres of landscaped gardens in the hotel grounds or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery that Port Lympne has to offer. You can also explore the 600 acre reserve on your own personal golf buggy.
Back to the Wild!
With your visit and stay you contribute to our greatest mission, getting the animals 'Back to the Wild'. This initiative has already seen an impressive number of animals born at Howletts and Port Lympne returned to their natural habitats. Your help is vital for our worldwide conservation projects.
