Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve have an exciting opportunity for Park Services Logistics Assistants to join us on a seasonal basis during our second festive light trail.
Working within the Park Services team, you will help create a safe, organised and welcoming experience for guests attending our winter light trail event, Port Lympne Illuminated. Your main responsibilities will include managing guest arrivals, marshalling car parking and guiding visitors around the trail, with duties and locations allocated via a rota. You may also be required to support the park’s guest transport operations during events, including operating minibuses and other event transport vehicles where appropriately trained and authorised.

Who are we looking for:
We’re looking for warm, enthusiastic and confident people who enjoy working with guests and helping create memorable experiences. You’ll be approachable, organised and comfortable communicating with a wide range of people, ensuring guests feel welcome and well looked after throughout their visit.
You’ll be able to prioritise tasks, adapt to changing operational needs and work safely in a busy, outdoor environment. A good understanding of health and safety and safe working practices is essential.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Experience in a customer-facing role, answering guest queries and providing helpful information.
- Experience working safely in an operational or public-facing environment.
- A full UK manual driving licence, which would be beneficial for supporting our guest transport operations.
- Experience in animal conservation or working outdoors.
Most importantly, you’ll be a team player with a positive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for delivering a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests at Port Lympne Illuminated.
Contract details:
Rate of pay is £10.85 for under 21-year-olds and £12.71 for over 21-year-olds.
These are seasonal roles running in the lead-up to and throughout Port Lympne Illuminated, from 23 November 2026 to 4 January 2027. Working flexibly, hours of work for our Winter Seasonal roles will generally be between 3pm to 10pm with a 30- minute paid lunch break for shifts of 6 hours or longer. Please note, shift finishing times could vary on the day depending on operational demands.
A reliable form of transport is recommended due to the remote location of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
