Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve have an exciting opportunity for Admissions and Retail Sales Assistants
to join us during our second year of Port Lympne Illuminated.
As an Admissions and Retail Sales Assistants, you work in our unique gift shops, ensuring that our customers receive an outstanding first impression of Port Lympne park and Port Lympne Illuminated. You will help to welcome and admit visitors, answer queries, upsell encounters and experiences, operating tills for gift shop sales, as well as ensuring that our giftshop is stocked and kept clean and tidy. This role may also involve working at the gift shop at Howletts Wild Animal Park.
Who are we looking for:
We are looking for motivated individuals who understand the importance of excellent customer service. You should be a confident communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations. It is also important that you are a team player who can also work on their own initiative. The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, gained in a fast-paced retail environment.
Contract details:
Rate of pay is £10.85 for under 21-year-olds and £12.71 for over 21-year-olds.
These are seasonal roles running in the lead-up to and throughout Port Lympne Illuminated, from 23 November 2026 to 4 January 2027. The role is flexible hours on a rota basis, with shifts worked during the days and evenings, between 8:00 am and 10:00 pm. Applicants may also be required to work at our sister park, Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury.
A reliable form of transport is recommended due to the remote location of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. All applicants must have right to work in the UK.
