Dinosaur Forest takes you on a journey through some of the most fascinating periods in Earth's history.
From the Devonian period, around 385 million years ago, when the first land-living vertebrates appeared, through the Carboniferous, Permian, Triassic and Jurassic periods, all the way to the Cretaceous, when some of the most famous dinosaurs walked the Earth.

Meet the giants of the past
Whether your little ones dream of becoming palaeontologists or simply can't get enough of dinosaurs, Dinosaur Forest offers plenty to discover.
Come face-to-face with life-sized recreations of prehistoric creatures and learn fascinating facts about how they lived, what they ate and how they dominated the planet millions of years ago.
Eusthenopteron
Eusthenopteron lived in the Devonian period, 385 million years ago. This large fish is believed to be the 'missing link' between fish and land-dwelling vertebrate animals.
Meganeura
Meganeura lived in the Carboniferous period, 300 million years ago. This distant relative of modern dragonflies was one of the largest flying insects which ever roamed the earth!
Dimetrodon
Dimetrodon lived in the Permian period, 290 million years ago. Dimetrodon had elongated bone extensions on the vertebrae of its back.
Coelophysis
Coelophysis lived in the Triassic period, 251 million years ago. Although Coelophysis was small it would have been able to run very fast!
Allosaurus
Allosaurus lived in the Jurassic period, 155 million years ago. This dinosaur was by far the most common large predator of its environment with even the gigantic sauropods, such as Brachiosaurus, were on its menu.
Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus lived in the Cretaceous period, 70 million years ago. Spinosaurus’ diet consisted mainly of fish but it also fed on other dinosaurs, pterosaurs and carrion - in fact anything that crossed it’s path!
