Win a Brand-New Electric Car and a Wild Family Weekend in Kent
Let's be honest: the family car has seen things. Crisps down the seats, a mystery smell nobody will own up to, and a boot that closes only if someone sits on it. Now imagine swapping it for a gleaming new electric Kia, then driving it straight into a weekend of bears, safaris and marshmallows under the stars.
That's exactly what one lucky family will win in our free prize draw, created to celebrate 50 wild years of Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. No purchase, no catch, just a genuinely brilliant chance to win a car and a family staycation in one go.
What's in the Prize Bag?
Here's everything the winner takes home (and to Kent):
- A brand-new Kia PV5 Passenger Essential, a fully electric family vehicle
- Two nights at Bear Lodge, our largest glamping site, for up to eight guests
- A VIP safari experience across the reserve
- All your meals sorted, with breakfast and dinner at Bear Lodge plus a indulgent afternoon tea in the Mansion
The prize is brought to you in partnership with JCB Kia, and it's completely free to enter.
Meet Your New Wheels: The Kia PV5
The PV5 is Kia's electric people-carrier, designed with families (and their frankly unreasonable amount of luggage) in mind. Going electric means no more wincing at the petrol pump, fewer emissions, and a quieter ride, which is handy when you're trying to hear whether the kids in the back are sleeping or plotting.

Your Weekend HQ:
Bear Lodge
If your family thinks camping means soggy sleeping bags and a tent that collapses at 3am, Bear Lodge will change their minds.
Tucked into a quiet hilltop corner of the 600-acre reserve, the site overlooks the home of Mateo and Rina, Kent's only spectacled bears. Each safari tent sleeps eight in two double beds and two sets of bunks (cue the annual "who gets the top bunk" negotiations), with an en suite bathroom, a cosy living area with a log burner, and your own private deck.
The site is gated, with a play area for younger adventurers, and at its heart sits the Clubhouse, serving home-cooked family favourites and drinks from a well-stocked bar. On clear nights, the views stretch across Romney Marsh towards the coast, and the stargazing is something special.
Insider tip: pack your fluffiest bed socks. It's still a tent, and seasoned glampers know evenings can get chilly once the sun dips.
Picture Your Winning Weekend
You pull up in your shiny new electric Kia. The kids spot a spectacled bear before you've even unpacked. After checking in, you head out on your VIP safari, getting up close to some of the 900-plus rare and endangered animals that call the reserve home.
Evening brings dinner at the Clubhouse, followed by toasting marshmallows at the firepit while someone inevitably drops theirs in the fire. Then it's snuggling into proper beds under canvas, listening to the sounds of the reserve drift across the hillside.
The next day? A leisurely breakfast, more exploring, and a grand finale of afternoon tea in the Mansion, because nothing says "we won a car" quite like a scone with a view.
Fifty Years of Going Wild
This draw is part of a bigger celebration. For half a century, Port Lympne has been a leader in rewilding, working to return animals born in our care to their natural habitats through our Back to the Wild mission. Every stay at the reserve helps support that conservation work, so there's a genuinely feel-good side to this prize, too.
Pairing an electric vehicle with a conservation-focused break felt like the perfect fit for our anniversary: new ways to travel, and a reminder of why protecting the natural world matters.
