Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are seeking a Wedding & Events Coordinator to play a key role in creating unforgettable celebrations. From the first enquiry through to the day, you’ll be the main point of contact for our clients - guiding them through the planning process and ensuring their vision becomes reality.
This varied role blends relationship-building with organisation and creativity. You’ll welcome prospective clients, conduct show rounds, attend networking events and trade shows, and represent our brand with confidence. You’ll also manage enquiries, follow up leads, and create tailored proposals to secure new business and maximise revenue.
Behind the scenes, you’ll keep everything running smoothly overseeing bookings, preparing reports, coordinating with departments, and ensuring every detail is delivered flawlessly. On event days, you’ll support clients and the operations team to guarantee a seamless experience.

Who we are looking for:
We’re looking for a Wedding & Events Coordinator who is passionate about creating unforgettable experiences. You’ll be someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, balancing creativity with strong organisation and attention to detail. You’ll have solid experience in the conference and events industry, with proven skills in planning and coordinating events from start to finish. From liaising with clients to managing suppliers and colleagues, you’ll bring excellent communication and interpersonal skills to every interaction - ensuring every event runs smoothly and every guest feels valued.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, confident in managing multiple priorities at once, and comfortable solving problems under pressure. Strong IT skills and experience using hotel property management systems will be a big advantage, as will previous hands-on involvement in weddings, corporate events, or both. Flexibility is key - you’ll need to be happy working evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to meet the needs of our events calendar.

This is a full-time permanent position, 40 hours per week, 9-5pm, five days out of seven, which can include Weekends, evenings, and bank holidays Reporting to the Event Sales Manager, the position is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, based near Folkestone and Ashford.
