Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are looking for an Estates Administrator, who will provide wide-ranging administrative and organisational support across the Estates Department, covering mechanics, fleet management, suppliers, maintenance, projects, and Health & Safety.
This varied role involves maintaining compliance records, coordinating vehicle servicing and supplier activity, supporting procurement, and ensuring accurate documentation for risk assessments, audits, and departmental meetings. You will also manage departmental inboxes, provide first-line support for Estates and H&S queries, and assist with project administration. Flexibility and teamwork are key, as you will provide cross-cover within the Estates Admin team to ensure continuity of service during absence.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated administrator with excellent attention to detail. You will have experience managing records, coordinating tasks, and supporting compliance or project processes, ideally within estates, facilities, or health & safety. A confident communicator and problem-solver, you’ll be comfortable working with digital systems, handling sensitive information discreetly, and adapting to changing priorities. You will be highly proficient in Microsoft 365, with strong skills in Excel (spreadsheets, formulas, data management and entry) and Word (document drafting and formatting). Most importantly, you’ll be a team player - willing to step into different areas, support colleagues, and ensure the smooth running of the Estates Department. A full UK manual driving licence is required.
Contract details:
This is a temporary position covering maternity leave, with an immediate start, to December 2026. The hours of work are 40 hours per week, worked five days out of seven including weekends and bank holidays as required . Working hours are 08:00 – 16:30 with a 30-minute unpaid break.. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location. Although this role is predominantly based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, the successful candidate might be required to work at Howletts Wild Animal Park on the occasion.
