Are you wild about creating memorable experiences?
Do you want to work in a place where you can hear calls from troops of howler monkeys, or the roars from a pride of lions?
The Howletts Wild Animal Trust, which oversees Howletts Wild Animal Park and Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, are looking for Digital Marketing Executive to join our Marketing Team. We are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Digital Marketing Executive to support the delivery and optimisation of our digital marketing activity across paid media and CRM channels. This role plays a key part in driving revenue growth, improving customer engagement, and strengthening the effectiveness of our digital communications.
Working closely with the Head of Digital Marketing and the wider marketing team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day execution of paid media campaigns and email marketing activity. You will help build, manage and optimise campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta and TikTok, ensuring they are delivered in line with strategy and performance objectives. This includes updating campaigns, uploading creative assets, monitoring performance, and supporting ongoing optimisation through targeting, bidding and creative testing.
Alongside paid media activity, you will manage the creation and deployment of email marketing campaigns, supporting audience segmentation and the development of customer journeys to improve targeting, relevance and engagement. You will work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure messaging is consistent across all channels. The role also involves supporting campaign reporting and performance analysis, using tools such as Google Analytics and internal systems to identify trends, provide insight, and inform future activity. You will play an active role in ensuring campaigns are data-driven, well-executed, and continuously improved.
Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-focused digital marketer with some experience in digital marketing, ideally with exposure to paid media and/or email marketing. You will have a basic understanding of key digital channels such as paid search, paid social and email, and a genuine interest in developing your skills further in performance marketing and CRM.
You should be highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. A strong analytical mindset is essential, with the ability to interpret performance data and use insights to support optimisation and decision-making. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are important, along with a collaborative approach and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a wider team. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn will be key to success in this role.
Contract details:
This is a full-time, permanent contract, working 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9-5pm. On the occasion, you might be required to work a weekend day dependant on business needs. The role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and reports directly into the Marketing Manager. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
Location:
Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve and Howletts Wild Animal Park are two of the best-known and best-loved attractions in the Southeast. Howletts is home to the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, the only giant anteaters in Kent and - together with Port Lympne - the world’s largest collection of western lowland gorillas. Port Lympne is the only wild animal park in Europe to offer unique short breaks, where guests can wake up surrounded by animals, go on safari, enjoy once in a lifetime animal encounter and most importantly be part of real conservation in action. Port Lympne is also home to two new wedding and event spaces, which are already winning awards, as well as three exceptional on-site restaurants.
Why you should join us:
As well as walking to work surrounded by the calls of Howler monkeys and the roars from our pride of Lions, you will also join a supportive team who are passionate about their place of work.
You can also expect a host of other benefits including:
• 28 days annual leave inclusive of bank holidays, pro-rata to start date and working hours, rising with length of service.
• Comprehensive training and development opportunities, including workshops and e-learning
• Enhanced Sickness, Maternity and Paternity Policies.
• Unlimited free entry for you and a person of your choice into both of our parks as well as friends and family tickets.
• Exceptional discounts on food, retail and accommodation at our parks.
