We’re looking for a Guest Relations Supervisor to join our team at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve. The Guest Relations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient running of the guest service team, as well as our African-inspired restaurant and Giraffe Lodge accommodation. During off-peak periods, and in the absence of the Guest Relations Manager or Assistant Guest Relations Manager, the Supervisor will manage the front-of-house operations across all accommodation areas of the Reserve.
This is a hands-on, highly visible role, requiring the ability to maintain and enhance service standards, ensuring guests enjoy a seamless, professional, and welcoming experience. The Supervisor will lead, coach, and support the team, creating a positive work culture focused on excellence, while monitoring performance against brand and company objectives. They will also proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and ensure all facilities operate to the highest possible standard.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking a confident and motivated hospitality professional with at least one year of supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment. You will embody exceptional customer service and leadership, with a passion for delivering high-quality food and drink experiences and a keen eye for detail. You excel at supervising diverse teams, resolving guest concerns promptly, and continuously identifying ways to improve service.
Your high level of self-awareness, optimism, and adaptability make you a natural leader who thrives in change and embraces challenges. Outstanding communication skills - both written and verbal - paired with excellent personal presentation, ensure you’re a confident front-facing representative of our brand. Familiarity with GDPR, Health and Safety regulations, and proficiency in MS Office 365 are essential, and experience with room booking systems, especially Opera, is a plus.
Desirable qualities include barista or food service experience and supervisory training certifications.
Contract details:
This is a full-time permanent position, working 40 hours a week, five days out of seven. Working hours can range between the hours of 07:45-22:00, and will include weekdays, weekends, and bank holidays. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location of the park. All applicants must have right to work in the UK and hold a valid UK driving license.
