This isn't just a walk in the park, it's a mission for your little ones! Pick up your Easter Egg-sploration Trail map at the gatehouse upon entering, and head off on a journey through our wild park!
Follow the trail to discover hidden clues to help our baby gorilla pick gifts for his new friends!
Easter Holiday Activities
- Get hands-on! Our rangers will be hosting spring themed enrichment making sessions. Help us create seasonal toys and treats for our animals to enjoy - you might spot them enjoying the treats as you walk around the park, or on our social channels.
- Don't leave without grabbing an eggstra-special seasonal treat. Our team have prepared some delicious Easter surprises for you to purchase around Howletts.
- Join our expert keepers and rangers to learn about our world-famous elephants and gorillas. Talk times can be found on the board as you enter the park, or you can ask any employee at the park and they'll be able to direct you.
- With amazing animals around every corner, Howletts is packed with amazing photo opportunities. Don't forget to capture a magical memory for your photo album before you leave.
Meet our new baby gorilla
Howletts Wild Animal Park is celebrating the birth of a new western lowland gorilla, born overnight on 19 December 2025. The infant was born to Sanki and Djanghou, two gorillas with deep roots at Howletts, and represents the 155th gorilla birth across Howletts and Port Lympne combined – a significant milestone for the conservation programme.
Each birth at Howletts and Port Lympne Reserve plays a vital role in the long-term conservation of this critically endangered species, contributing not only to the European breeding programme but also to wider efforts to protect and rewild gorillas in their natural habitats.
Animal Experiences
Get even closer to your favourite species on an unforgettable animal encounter. You will join a small group of fellow animal-lovers and one of our expert Animal Keepers, who will escort you to an exclusive, often behind-the-scenes area of the park. There, you will be able to ask your expert all of your animal-questions and enjoy an unforgettable animal encounter during which you will have the chance to interact with and, where possible, hand-feed your chosen species.
Journey to the Ice Age
Take a break from the modern world and step back thousands of years. Our Animals of the Ice Age exhibition is a huge hit with families, offering a rare chance to walk amongst life-sized prehistoric creatures. Stand in the shadow of the mighty Mammoth, face off with a Saber-toothed cat, and discover the giant Megatherium (an elephant-sized sloth!).
Like the rest of the park, the Ice Age trail is flat and buggy-friendly, so even the littlest egg-splorers can come face-to-face with these ancient giants.
P.S. If it's a little drizzly, the Ice Age walk is a great way to stay dry under the trees!

Terms & Conditions
- Child (aged 0-15years) tickets priced at £10 on selected dates at Howletts Wild Animal Park for a limited time.
- Offer valid from 28th March – 19th April only. Offer ends Sunday 19th April 2026
- All children under the age of 16 years must always be accompanied by an adult within the park.
- The "Kids Go For £10" offer is only valid for tickets purchased directly through the Howletts website. Tickets purchased via third-party websites or agents are not eligible for this promotion.
- The promotion is not valid for tickets that include a free carer ticket. A carer ticket can only be issued when accompanying a paid concession ticket. The "Kids for £10" promotion cannot be applied when the adult is claiming a free carer ticket for a free disabled child.
- Offer valid for new online bookings only and cannot be applied retroactively to previously purchased tickets.
- To be eligible for the promotion, all adults and children must be added to the order at the point of booking.
- Promotions cannot be redeemed in person at our Gatehouse on the day.
- Tickets and promotions are subject to availability and the offer can be withdrawn at any time.
- No refunds or amendments will be due if tickets are purchased prior to promotional launch, or not following the direct booking link.
