Meet Rokan, Bila and Kuala
Our adorable Sumatran tiger cubs are growing fast, and we have an exciting update to share!
Firstly, ICYMI, we're delighted to reveal that our trio now have names and, for the first time, we know whether they're boys or girls.
The answer? One handsome little boy and two beautiful girls!
Our young male has been named Rokan, one of his sisters is called Bila, chosen by her dedicated keepers, and her sister has been named Kuala after our wonderful supporters voted on social media.
Each name is inspired by rivers in Sumatra, celebrating the cubs' native homeland and helping to tell the story of this incredibly rare and endangered species.

Recently, our expert Animal and Veterinary Teams carried out the cubs' second routine health checks and vaccinations, an important milestone in their development.
During the examination, each cub was:
- Given a full health check
- Administered a second specially imported vaccination to help protect against disease
- Treated with worming medication to guard against parasites
- Carefully weighed to monitor healthy growth since their first vaccinations
We're thrilled to report that Rokan, Bila and Kuala are all healthy, growing beautifully and developing exactly as we'd hoped.
These routine health checks play a vital role in giving every cub the very best start in life and are carried out by our experienced veterinary and animal care teams with the utmost care and expertise.
