The bush dog enclosure is on the walkway adjacent to the main rhino/baboon enclosure, just along from the Vet Centre. In keeping with their fondness for water, the entire enclosure has been designed around a natural stream that runs down through the small gully, and is planted throughout with clumping grass stands.
There have been many changes in the group over the course of the last 18 months and the remaining member of the main group is the female Tachira. Her son Kurupi is due to leave us soon to go to Stuttgart zoo and he will soon be exchanged for new males from Europe. We have recently acquired 3 new females from Chester zoo who are located on the African Experience where the safari trucks stop at the Discovery Zone. We hope in the future that they will gain a new male friend from South America.
