Tengui the Tapir
Location: Port Lympne
Date Of Birth: 22/02/2006
Malayan tapirs face extinction for many reasons including deforestation and the illegal trade – pretty much all factors are due to human activity. Tengui lives at Port Lympne and is a favourite among visitors and staff. Tapirs are unapologetic water-lovers, and Tengui is no exception! Her favourite past-time on a hot day is a nice cool dip in the pond. She has been mixed with male tapir Hunter so we are hoping for babies in the future. Adopt Tengui today to help protect the Malayan Tapir for the future.
Your adoption directly helps us to save rare & endangered animals.
