Oundi the Gorilla
Location: Port Lympne
Date Of Birth: 28/02/2006
Western lowland gorilla, Oundi, had something of a sad start to life after her mother Sounda died suddenly of bacterial peritonitis. Amazingly, it was her older brother Kouyou that took on the role of caring for her. This responsibility has since been taken up by Sangha, who was Sounda's best friend, and for all intents and purposes it is Sangha that is now Oundi's mother. The future of the wild western lowland gorilla is threatened by the bushmeat trade and deforestation with only around 100,000 left in the wild. Adopt Oundi today to help protect gorillas for the future.
Your adoption directly helps us to save rare & endangered animals.
