Felis silvestris grampia
These are Britain’s only remaining large wild predator, although once found throughout Britain, they are now confined to the Scottish Highlands. They can reach top speeds of up to 30mph when sprinting, as well as jump from high tree branches feet first seamlessly. Their coat is at least 50% thicker than a domestic cat and has two layers, one downy layer to keep them warm and an outer layer to keep off the rain. They are solitary animals that are mainly active at dawn and dusk.
