At the Conservation Station, opposite the Palace of the Apes
You're invited to the party!
Join us at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, Kent’s largest wild animal park, to celebrate baby gorilla, Louango’s first birthday. The festivities will take place from 11.30am to 1pm and 2.30pm to 4pm.
As well as colouring and craft making activities, party goers will have the opportunity to make birthday cards for Louango, which will be displayed in the Conservation Station, alongside hand made cards and posters made by the pupils from Shatterlocks Primary in Dover.
You can also take part in a raffle to win a large cuddly gorilla with proceeds going towards the conservation work of The Aspinall Foundation.
Conservation in action
Meet members of The Aspinall Foundation team to discover more about how the conservation charity protects western lowland gorillas in the wild and how they can help support this important work.
The party will also include free talks at Palace of the Apes where visitors can learn about the family group and, at the midday talk, visitors can also watch Louango and the family tuck into their own gorilla friendly cupcakes. There will be free cake for visitors too, subject to availability, so make sure you arrive early if you wish to indulge!
