Afternoon tea is served on traditional tiers, layered with a selection of finger sandwiches and savoury bites, delicate pastries and desserts and of course scones with plenty of clotted cream and seasonal jams. Our selection of loose leaf teas or coffee are the perfect accompaniment to your traditional Kent afternoon tea experience.

How to book your afternoon tea
An afternoon tea experience is the perfect way to end a day of exploring the Reserve and working up an appetite while you spot the endangered animals dotted around the Kent countryside, or just pop in for an afternoon of indulgent treats at the historic mansion set within 15 acres of landscaped gardens.
Afternoon tea is served 12-4pm daily at £35pp including admission to the Reserve or £23 for overnight guests.

The Garden Room Restaurant & Bar
The Garden Room’s laid back Mediterranean charm paired with delicious locally sourced food and botanical cocktails is a firm favourite amongst our guests. Nestled within Sir Philip Sassoon’s original stableyard, the Garden Room is open to the public for afternoon tea and dinner 7 days per week and for brunch on Sundays.
