Clyde, the Bactrian Camel Settles in
Port Lympne Reserve is excited to announce the arrival of Clyde, the Bactrian camel who has taken up residence on the Asian experience, part of the safari route on the 600-acre wild animal park.
Although Clyde was a little shy to begin with, he has settled in well and is now very forward with his keepers, especially at meal times. He enjoys ash and goat willow boughs along with his regular meals, and an occasional carrot as a treat.
His home consists of a lovely yard with a stable and then a large paddock which he is free to roam whenever he wants. Now he is feeling at home, Clyde has thrilled many visitors as they spot him out and about on their safari experience and is becoming a popular new arrival with his neighbours, the takin. He will also soon be joined by two female camel companions.
This new camel with serious character is the perfect excuse for a day out at Port Lympne Reserve.Book online & save 10%
