Welcome baby Nyombe!
Port Lympne is delighted to announce an adorable new addition to their drill monkey family, Nyombe. Born at the end of May, to mum, Khari and dad, Nebosja, she is now making her debut appearance to visitors. Drill are amongst Africa’s most endangered mammals, so there is great excitement at Port Lympne as Nyombe is the 9th successful birth to date at the park.
Nyombe, being new and very sweet, is definitely the centre of her groups attention with all the adult females longing to take turns to hold her and all the other kids trying to play with her too. However, they are going to have to be patient and wait a little longer because she’s too young to let go of her mum for long. Khari is an excellent mother and always keeps a close eye on Nyombe to see that she doesn’t go too far away. As can often be the way (with humans too!), siblings can find it a bit difficult when a new baby arrives and Tongo, her brother, seems a little miffed as he vies for their mum’s attention.
Come along to Port Lympne this summer and see for yourself how little Nyombe is settling into her new family. Don't forget you can save 10% off your single visit tickets when you book online up to midnight the day before your visit.Book your tickets
