See the reserve in a different light
Explore the serengeti as the sun goes down and the plains come to life. Your expert Ranger will guide you to the very best spots to observe the free roaming herds of animals as they prepare for nightfall. Relax with a glass of prosecco or chilled fruit juice and enjoy the spectacle of a colourful sunset over the vast expanse of wilderness.
What will you see?
Your safari journey will take you to visit the quirky wildlife of South America, the iconic animals of Africa and the grassland herds of Asia, all roaming freely in hundreds of acres of Kentish wilderness with panoramic views across the Romney Marsh to the Kent coast.
The Giraffes
Our tower of giraffes consists of eight individuals, our ‘big boys’; Cillian and Sebastian, who are hybrids and our breeding group of Nubian giraffes; Lunar and Lehana (the mums of the group), Mwezi, Bokora, Kianga and youngster Zabuni. The girls are very much in-charge of the group and the rest follow to wherever they want to go.
The Rhino
One of Africa's 'Big Five' the black rhinoceros is an unmissable sight. For a large animal they are surprisingly light on their feet, so do keep a look out for Kasungu - you probably won't hear him passing by despite him weighing around a tonne!
The Zebras
Chapman's zebra stallion, Cumin, can be seen grazing with his dazzle of ladies, Gwendoline, Harriet and Sophie. Did you know that zebras have black skin, so they are in fact black with white stripes - answering the age old question!
The Camels
Keep an eye out for Gucci, Healani and Tuli, our trio of Bactrian camel ladies, as your expert Ranger guides you through the Asian Experience to discover some of the majestic herds roaming the grasslands.
