Develop your photography skills with our resident professional photographer, as he guides you around the 600 acre estate, both in an open sided safari vehicle and on foot, to capture outstanding images of incredible wild animals on this one-to-one experience.
With over 30 years experience taking iconic images of wildlife, David Rolfe, will share his expert knowledge, tips and tricks, enabling you to take images you’ll treasure forever.

Port Lympne Reserve is home to over 80 species of wildlife providing outstanding opportunities to capture realistic "wild" photographs of the residents, unimpeded by mesh, bars and fencing.

Meet for a brief health and safety introduction at Basecamp. Take an open-sided Land Rover to enable you to get the perfect safari shot unimpeded by fences. Travel through the African Experience Safari stopping at every available opportunity to photograph Zebra or Wildebeest grazing quietly, watched intently by rhino, giraffes, and ostrich to name a few

Arrive at the Western lowland gorillas for the chance to photograph our beautiful family group.

Stop for lunch at Base Camp (lunch not included)

Walk through Primate Trail to see the black and white Colobus monkeys, baboons & tapirs which are always popular.

A visit to the Palace of the Apes – another favourite.
15:30 - 16:00
A visit to the big cats at the top of the park marks the end of the day when you are free to roam around the other enclosures until the park closes.

Please note that the courses are available to over 17's only. Photographers should wear comfortable clothing, the appropriate footwear and be prepared for inclement weather. Times and animal encounters are subject to change due to the nature of being an outside experience and working with animals.
The price of this experience DOES NOT include entry to Port Lympne Reserve UNLESS you are an overnight guest of Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve OR a Member or Port Lympne season ticket holder. If you are not an overnight guest of Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve or Member/Port Lympne season ticket holder then a valid day entry ticket will also need to be purchased either on arrival at the gatehouse or click the 'continue shopping' button from your basket when you book your experience online.
