We are currently seeking a Sales Ledger Reconciliation Clerk who will oversee the efficient reconciliation of banking and sales ledgers for both The Howletts Wild Animal Trust and Howletts & Port Lympne Estates Limited.
Reporting to the Assistant Finance Manager, you will ensure that affiliates income is recognised correctly, and ensure that receipts and redemptions are processed with accuracy in a timely manner. You will take ownership and maintain an accurate balance sheet, as well as ensuring that discrepancies are resolved with stakeholders to minimise impact on month end reporting deadlines.

Who are we looking for:
It is essential for the successful candidate to have experience in a similar role, alongside previous experience using a cost centre/department-based accounting package. (Advanced Exchequer accounting software experience is desirable)
You will have the ability to communicate effectively at all levels, with an excellent eye for detail and the desire to take responsibility through to resolution for any issues and concerns arising. You will have good written and verbal communication skills, and will be Proficient in IT and Microsoft packages, with a particular focus on Excel, including advanced formulas such as XLookups, creation and use of pivot tables.
Contract details:
This is a permanent part-time position, working 32 hours per week, Monday - Friday. There is flexibility for the 32 hours per week to be completed four days out of seven, or five days out of seven, between the working hours of 8am-5pm. This role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and Ashford, and reports directly into the Assistant Finance Manager. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
