Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger, who will oversee the efficient running of the purchase ledger for both The Howletts Wild Animal Trust and Howletts & Port Lympne Estates Limited.
The Purchase Ledger Clerk will work to ensure that supplier invoices and payments are processed with accuracy in a timely manner. They will take ownership and maintain accurate supplier accounts, ensuring account issues are resolved to minimise impact, and ensure the purchase ordering system is utilised appropriately by budget holders.
Who we are looking for:
The successful candidate will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within a VAT registered limited company, and will have an excellent eye for detail and a desire to take responsibility through to resolution, for issues and concerns arising. You will be able to prioritise to achieve required deadlines, and will have the ability to develop strong working relationships with our key stakeholders/suppliers. You will have previous experience with using a cost centre/department-based accounting package, and will be confident in the use of most common IT hardware and software systems, particularly MS Office 365 products. Charitable company experience is preferred. Knowledge of Advanced Exchequer accounting software is desirable.
Contract details:
This is a permanent full-time position, working 40 hours per week Monday - Friday. Part-Time/Job Share will also be considered. The role is based at Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve near Folkestone and reports directly into the Head of Finance. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK. A reliable mode of transport is recommended due to our remote location.
