Port Lympne Hotel is a multi-award winning wedding venue set in the heart of Port Lympne Reserve. We are seeking an enthusiastic Wedding & Events Coordinator who can proactively increase venue revenue and brand awareness in the local area.
The role will include both reactively and proactively selling the venue for weddings and events at the hotel. You will coordinate the events with clients and suppliers and be there to meet and greet to ensure everything runs smoothly, managing the day staff to ensure everything is on time and set up correctly. To be successful in this role, you need to be able to demonstrate your ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients, juggle multiple projects, work to tight deadlines and deliver on sales budgets while providing outstanding customer service.
Applicants must be literate, numerate, well presented and motivated to succeed. You must be enthusiastic and passionate about delivering great customer service and have the confidence to use your own initiative when needed. We are looking for candidates that have previous experience within a similar role, have excellent interpersonal skills, an eye for detail, good communication skills both written and verbal who is self-motivated with the ability to manage and organise their own workload effectively. Normal working hours are 45 hours per week, five days out of seven. The role will involve working weekends and the occasional late night to meet the business needs. Flexibility is crucial as hours, dates and rosters may change as this is a seasonal business.
