Situated near Canterbury in Kent, Howletts Wild Animal Park works in conjunction with The Aspinall Foundation; a charity committed to conservation and the reintroduction of captive bred species back into their natural habitats.
The Estates Department at Howletts Wild Animal Park has a vacancy for Temporary Grounds Staff to cover long term sick absence.
We are looking for a reliable and responsible individual to join a team of cleaning staff. You must have a good level of physical fitness as the work is physically demanding. The role involves keeping the park free of litter, general cleaning of public toilets and outdoor eating areas. Other duties such as general maintenance work around the park may also be included.
We are looking for someone who is motivated, enthusiastic, flexible and happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions. A valid driving licence is essential as you will be required to drive company vehicles around the park. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
Working hours are 8.00am – 4.30pm (with a 30 minute lunch break) worked five days out of seven, including weekend and bank holidays.
