Port Lympne Reserve & Howletts Wild Animal Parks are part of The Aspinall Foundation, a charity committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes.
At Port Lympne Hotel & Reserve, near Hythe, we have an exciting opportunity to join our retail team as a permanent retail assistant and work in two of our unique gift shops at the Wild Animal Park. You will be welcoming and admitting visitors, answering queries, ensuring the shops are stocked and kept clean and tidy as well as till and memberships sales.
We are looking for motivated individuals who understand the importance of excellent customer service. You should be a confident communicator; able to stay calm under pressure and remain courteous when dealing with difficult situations.
It is also important that you are a team player who can also work on their own innovative.
The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience, gained in a fast-paced retail environment, preferably with knowledge of merchandising.
The role is variable hours worked on a flexible rota basis, including weekends, bank holidays and school holidays.

A reliable form of transport is essential due to the remote locations of the parks.
