Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks, in conjunction with the Aspinall Foundation, are a charity based organisation committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programmes. The parks are home of one of the world’s most prized wild animal collections and are one of the biggest visitor attractions in Kent.
We are looking for a part-time Communications Assistant to support to the communications department with all aspects of administration. Ideally you will have a strong administration background and relevant experience in the Marketing/ Media/ Communications fields would be an advantage.
The role involves processing purchase orders and invoices, maintaining web listings, attending exhibitions, dealing with enquiries, maintaining office systems including databases, coordinating in-park signage and leaflets and all general office administration duties in a very fast paced and busy department.
The ideal candidate should be organised, positive and articulate with excellent communication skills. Good IT skills, including a full working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is essential. You will also have excellent attention to detail and be self motivated to achieve high standards of organisation. This is a very fast paced environment.
The role is permanent part-time, 20 hours per week which can be worked flexibly from Monday to Friday but may include working weekends and bank holidays on rare occasions.
