The Aspinall Foundation is a world-leading animal conservation charity, working to protect endangered species through captive breeding and where possible to reintroduce these animals to protected areas in the wild.
The Foundation manages two gorilla rescue and rehabilitation projects in Gabon and Congo, where we have successfully reintroduced over 50 gorillas; projects in Java to protect the critically endangered Javan Gibbons; and Madagascar to protect the greater bamboo Lemur. We also support other projects in Africa and Asia. We operate the most successful primate re-introduction programme in the world. We working with partnership with the Kent-based Howletts and Port Lympne Animal Parks.
This is a permanent, full time role (40 hours a week) based at Port Lympne. The successful candidate will develop and deliver the fundraising events programme, including the marketing, organisation, stewardship of the volunteers and administration. Initiate a community fundraising programme, building relationships and offer excellent donor care to individual fundraisers, schools and groups as required.
We are looking for candidates with previous experience working in a fundraising role who have a track record of relationship building and understand the principles of good donor management. Candidates must have a proven ability to work effectively with others to achieve common goals and targets. Experience of organising events is preferable.
Candidates must have a valid driving licence and their own transport and be willing to travel around Kent and be flexible and willing to work the occasional evening and weekend as required.
