Play a key role in maintaining the park’s vehicles
Situated near Canterbury in Kent, Howletts Wild Animal Park is part of The Aspinall Foundation, a charity committed to protecting rare and endangered animals from extinction through captive breeding and reintroduction programs.
We are recruiting for an Apprentice Motor Mechanic to join our dedicated team and to contribute in all aspects of the day to day vehicle operations of Howletts Park as you will play a key role in maintaining the park’s tractors, cars, vans, land rover etc.
The position brings the opportunity to complete NVQ Level 2 training with Canterbury College as a key aspect of the role, but it is preferable for you to have some knowledge of mechanics and a genuine interest. Ideally you will have some prior formal training or experience of work in a similar environment.
This role with the opportunity for NVQ Level 2 training is 5 days a week including a day at college. All applicants must have a full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK.
