"Magical Treetop Stay" As a treat we stayed in the Treehouse rooms during a visit to Port Lympne. We were taken to the reception/lodge that is located at the foot of the treehouses, and were greeted with a welcome drink and a roaring fire that we could cook Marshmallows on – lovely! The rooms were beautiful, really well equipped for everything you need and also gave us prime a view over the rhino enclosure. As part of the stay we were given a golf buggy to get around the park, which not only came in handy for getting around, but also gave us access to off the beaten areas…we also filled it with the posh complimentary snacks from the room. We were unable to take advantage of one of the feeding experiences as we did not book in advance, so I would recommend booking these when you book the room. Highly recommended to make your stay extra special! I have already booked the bear lodge and a feeding experience for later this year!
"Fantastic Zoo Break" We arrived at Port Lympne and were greeted with 5 star service from the get go. We were picked up with our luggage and taken to the clubhouse where the kids were encouraged to toast marshmallows on the fire pit and the adults were welcomed with a glass of bubbly. After that we went up to our modern 2 bedroom detached apartment on stilts, which had everything you could hope for in terms of self catering, but there are facilities on site to cater for families eating out. We were given our own golf buggy appropriately named after one of the Aspinall foundations gorillas, which we got to use throughout the golf buggy route in the park. We thoroughly used this and took advantage of the complimentary ranger tour with the other treehouse members where we learned (kids and adults alike), got involved with talking about the animals. We had three amazing days there and with the inclusion of the golf buggy it, at times, felt like our own park. We could come and go as we pleased and even had time to visit Howletts zoo (sister park) as part of the deal. Highly recommend this to any couples with young families that share an interest in animals and the great job the staff, rangers etc do down there. Passionate people that truly like going to work is how I'd describe them! It's not every day your woken up with the sight of a black rhino running beneath you!
