Tickets are valid for the specified date and park only. You will receive an e mail confirmation with a copy of your ticket. Remember that you must bring your printed ticket with you on the day of your visit to be admitted to the park. Failure to do so may affect your entry to the park. Tickets purchased online may be upgraded to the Howletts or Port Lympne Passport or Gold Card on entry to the park, subject to an additional charge. 

Single visit tickets sold online are for standard price adult and child tickets only, as concession tickets include a discounted price when purchased at the gate entrance and therefore cannot be further discounted online.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check that all information supplied for the purchase of online tickets is correct prior to completion of the purchase. Failure to do so may result in additional charges at the entry kiosk or voiding of the ticket.

Entry to Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks will only be granted on presentation of a valid print at home ticket. All printed tickets must be clearly legible and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to present and relinquish them on entry to the parks.

Any additional visitors accompanying an online ticket purchaser will be charged the standard entry fee.

Proof of entitlement is required at the entry kiosk for certain ticket types e.g. students.

Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse entry and to make any changes to the structure of the parks.

Safari at Port Lympne is subject to availability on a first come first served basis.

Please note that children aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over to gain entry to the park.

Opt-Out donation

Visitors will be admitted upon payment of the Standard Tariff if they choose not to contribute the additional 10% voluntary donation.

Howletts Passport

Terms & Conditions relating to Howletts Passport, Port Lympne Passport and GoldCard:

When you apply for the Howletts Passport, Port Lympne Passport or GoldCard we will take a photograph of you. This photo will be used to identify you as the legitimate holder of your passport card when you visit the park. The passport can only be used for admission by the person named on the front of the card and we may check Passport cards and photo ID on entrance to the park. This photo and any personal information you give us will be stored on our secure database, and will be used solely for identification purposes and will not be available to third parties. Your photograph will be used only for the administration of the Passport scheme. All the data we collect will be treated as confidential and used in keeping with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. We may from time to time analyse your data. This is confidential and will not be made available to external companies. Customers under the age of 16 require parental consent when providing any personal information. Customers who sign up to the Passport Scheme will be automatically subscribed to email Newsletters. The Newsletter will be sent out periodically and provide updates, information on special events, new contests, and special offers. This Newsletter can be cancelled at any time by following the simple steps outlined at the bottom of the Newsletter.

KIDS FOR A QUID

Voucher valid from Monday 1st September to Tuesday 30th September 2014 at Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks only.  This voucher allows £1 single day entry for one child, (3-15 years), when accompanied by a full paying adult single visit ticket.  Present this voucher at the ticket office to redeem.  This voucher is not redeemable against the Passport and cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer or promotion including; the Passport, online tickets or Tesco Clubcard vouchers.  Sale of the voucher for profit is prohibited.  Photocopies will not be accepted.  Children aged 15 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. TESCO CLUBCARD

You must exchange your Clubcard vouchers for tokens – we (the supplier) do not accept Clubcard vouchers.

Tokens cannot be used in food outlets or shops. Tokens can only be used against single visit admission and cannot be used for special events and/or shows and does not apply to and is not redeemable against group bookings, the Howletts and Port Lympne Passport or Gold Card.  Present your token/s at the Howletts or Port Lympne main entrance ticket office to redeem. Photocopies are not accepted. Visitors under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 18 or over. A token is not a pre-booked ticket. No change is given from reward tokens. Tokens cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, scheme or promotion. Tokens cannot be used for any “buy in full” reward. Howletts and Port Lympne reserve the right to refuse admission.

Tokens are not transferable and will be issued with the name shown on your Clubcard vouchers and may be printed with your postcode. All standard Tesco.com and Clubcard rewards scheme terms and conditions apply, these can be found on the Tesco’s and Clubcard website.

Unused, expired and redeemed rewards tokens issued after 13th August 2012 cannot be refunded, exchanged or returned. This does not affect your statutory rights

ENTRY CONDITIONS

Tesco Clubcard Vouchers are not valid in conjunction with any other offers.

Children under 3 years are admitted free to Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks.

Children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse admission.

One FREE carer admitted with one paying guest with disabilities.

Blue Peter badge holders are admitted free with one full paying adult.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted to the park. Please do not leave your dogs in the car. We recommend that you make alternative arrangements for your pets before visiting.

As parts of Port Lympne are quite steep, we offer reduced admission for less-able guests and have selected routes for wheelchairs. Please ask for advice. This discount is not available with online tickets.

Our parks are very different from conventional zoos. The animals, which include rare and endangered species, are able to live and breed in conditions as close to their natural habitat as possible. This can mean that when the weather is inclement some of our animals will seek shelter in their indoor enclosures, which are always open to them but not on view to the public and you may wish to consider this when planning your visit.

Please do not feed the animals as they receive strictly controlled diets and you may cause them harm.

Please do not bang on windows at exhibits or climb on or cross the safety barriers.

In the interests of safety barbeques, balls, balloons, scooters, bikes, rollerblades or skates are not permitted in the parks.

Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to alter or cancel any events, presentations or feeding times without notice if required. Visitors are reminded that any advertised exhibits, attractions or facilities may be closed, removed, altered or otherwise unavailable at any time for safety, operational or animal welfare reasons.

 

EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS - THESE APPLY TO ALL EVENTS

This ticket cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the event is cancelled. Each member of the audience must possess a valid ticket.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 years or over.

Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse admission and to make changes to the event without prior notice.

No dogs are permitted within the parks.

We reserve the right to amend, cancel or postpone events at short notice and advise that you call the main reception on 01303 264647 to check before you visit. No commercial filming, recording or photography of any kind in any media is permitted without permission of Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks.

 

The Aspinall Foundation Terms and Conditions

 

Mobile Prize Draw – terms and conditions

1.       The draw is open to residents of the UK aged 18 and over, excluding employees and their immediate families of The Aspinall Foundation (“the Organisers”), their agents and anyone else professionally connected with the promotion.

2.       The promotional period starts at 00.01am on 1st Jan 2014 and closes for text entry at 11.59pm on 31st December 2014. Postal entries close at midday on  2nd Jan 2015.

3.       To enter, simply text BACK to 83222. This will cost 50p plus your standard network rate. On entry, you will receive a message confirming you entry. If you do not wish to make a donation, you should reply to the number given quoting ‘STOP’ with 45 minutes of sending the first text. If an entrant does not text stop within 45 minutes of receiving text confirmation of their entry, the £3 donation will be deducted from their account.

4.       The Aspinall Foundation (registered charity number 326567) will receive at least £0.20p from every ticket entry and £3 from every donation made.

5.       Text entries that are received after the competition closing date will not be counted but will incur the cost of a standard network rate text and may still incur the 50p entry charge and £3 donation.

6.       Text entries that are incomplete or contain an incorrect keyword will be deemed invalid and will not count as an entry, but may still be liable for entry costs (plus standard network costs).

7.       No more than four text entries per person will be allowed during the promotional period.

8.       The Aspinall Foundation does not accept any liability for any entries which are a result of technical malfunction whether through a website failure, lack of network service, service provider failure, virus or other technical malfunction for any entries which are lost, misdirected, delayed or corrupted. The Organisers do not accept any liability for any malfunction which means entrants are unable to cancel their donation nor any loss arising from entry to this competition.

9.       The alternative method of entry into the Prize Draw is to send your name and telephone number on a postcard to Mobile Prize Draw, The Aspinall Foundation, Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Hythe, Kent, CT21 4PD. To be included in the draw, these entries must be posted before the closing date.

10.    The Prizes consist of the following:

a.       Elephant Lodge – a three night stay during the 2015 season for competition winner and up to 7 other people at Elephant Lodge campsite located at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Accommodation & continental breakfast included. Booking subject to availability on winner’s preferred date. Not valid during the month of August. Information correct at time of print.

b.       Livingstone Lodge – an overnight stay during the 2015 season for prize winner and one other person. Accommodation & food included. Drinks not included. Booking subject to availability on winner’s preferred date. One guest must be over 18 years old and neither guest can be under the age of 10.

c.        VIP photography day – one place on a group one-day photography course during 2014 at either Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks with in-house wildlife photographer Dave Rolfe. Restricted dates & booking subject to availability. Over 18 years old.

d.       ½ hour primate experience – half hour up close encounter with the primates at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. Booking subject to availability. Over 18 years old.

11.    There are no cash alternatives for the prizes, and they cannot be sold, exchanged, transferred or bartered.

12.    The winners will be drawn at random within 24 hours of the closing date of the competition. Winners will be notified by telephone with 24 hours of the draw being made. In the event that contact cannot be made within a further 24 hours, The Organisers reserve the right to withdraw prize entitlement and award the prize to a reserve drawn at the same time as the original.

13.    Winners and companions must agree to comply with the terms and conditions of each prize won.

14.    The Organisers shall have no liability for loss of any kind in the event that it has to cancel the prize or alter the time, date or location of the prize.

15.    By entering the competition, all entrants and companions of winners grant The Organisers their permission to use and reproduce the photographs and/or footage throughout the world for any purpose in the media including but not limited to, its use in full or edited or amalgamated form on television programmes of any kind.

16.    The winners and their companions may be required to take part in post-event publicity and entry shall be deemed to be consent to take park in suck publicity as required by The Organisers.

17.    The winners’ names and counties will be available upon request by writing to: Mobile Prize Draw Competition, Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Hythe, Kent, CT21 4PD.

18.    Personal data will be taken where necessary from all entries received but shall be limited to those details reasonably necessary for the administration of the competition. This information may be shared with The Aspinall Foundation and any other third party reasonably involved in the competition without liability to The Organisers or such third parties.

19.    In the event that ‘The Organisers’ receive less than 400 entries into the competition by the closing date, just one prize winner will be drawn and will win the half hour primate experience at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park.

20.   The text donation service provider is Vir2 Ltd, Queens Lodge, Bridge St, Wickham, Hants, PO17 5JJ. The text service customer helpline: 033 066 00425.

The Aspinall Foundation Prize Draw

1. This prize draw is organised and promoted by The Aspinall Foundation (registered charity number 326567).

2. The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK over the age of 18 except employees of Howletts and Port Lympne wildlife parks, The Aspinall Foundation or any of the Aspinall group companies.

3. One entry into the prize draw per family/friends group entering the parks, or alternatively per transaction processed through the online ticket engine.

4. Prize draws will be made on the following quarter dates, 31 March, 30 June, 30 Sept, and 31 Dec from entries made in the preceding quarter.

5. Prize winners will be chosen at random, electronically, and notified by telephone within seven days of the draw being made. The winner will have 48 hours to confirm acceptance of their prize before an alternative winner is chosen at random.

6. Prize winners will be required to provide proof of age and identity before receiving their prize. In all matters, the decision of the judge(s) and The Aspinall Foundation shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

7. The prize is not transferable. The Aspinall Foundation reserves the right to substitute any prize for a prize of equal or greater value.

8. Prize winners agree to allow The Aspinall Foundation to use their name and likeness without compensation for the purposes of promoting and marketing the prize draws.

9. The Aspinall Foundation reserves the right to cancel or change the prize draw at any time and will endeavour to give advance notice of any such change or withdrawal. However advance notice may not always be possible.

10. Under no circumstances will The Aspinall Foundation or any Aspinalls group company (including parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion or the prize.

20% off annual Animal Adoption until 31st December 2013

1. The animal adoption 20% promotional is organised and promoted by The Aspinall Foundation (registered charity number 326567).

2. This promotion is open to all residents of the UK over the age of 18 except employees of Howletts and Port Lympne wildlife parks, The Aspinall Foundation or any of the Aspinall group companies.

3. The promotion will only be valid on successful online animal adoption processed between 1st December 2013 and 31st December 2013 with an annual payment.  This promotion is not available for online animal adoptions processed with monthly payment.

4. Under no circumstances will The Aspinall Foundation or any Aspinalls group company (including parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion or the prize.

5. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law.

6. The full 100% price will apply for adoptions processed from 1st January 2014. The full prices are shown against each discounted annual adoption package.

The Aspinall Foundation One Mile Challenge 2013

1. The person that raises the most amount of money whilst completing the One Mile Challenge will WIN a VIP animal encounter.  Sponsorship must have been received by The Aspinall Foundation before 1st October 2013. The winner agrees to photos being taken for publicity purposes.  The VIP animal encounter will need to be booked in advance of attending.

2. Each person who completes their one mile and raises a minimum of £30 will receive one day day ticket to either Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Park. We will need to have received your money by 1st October 2013, and please see the ticket for restrictions of use.

3. If you are not using Virgin Money Giving, please send us your cheque with a photocopy of your sponsorship form (and a photo of you doing your mile if you have one!), and we will send you your free ticket to you in the post.

 

Short Breaks

1. Definitions and Parties: In these terms and conditions:
The Company means Howletts & Port Lympne Estates Ltd (HPLE). We shall mean the Company. The Guest or Client shall mean the person who has paid the deposit as the Lead Booking Name.
2. Payment and confirmation invoice: To reserve your chosen short break you must have paid a deposit. If no deposit has been received then we reserve the right to sell these dates to another client who is willing to pay a deposit. As a deposit we ask for 50% of the total cost. On receipt of a deposit we shall send you confirmation of your booking.
2a. Under the “Cancellation of Contracts made in a Consumer’s Home or Place of Work, etc Regulations 2008” we give a seven (7) day cooling off period during which you can cancel your booking and have all monies returned to you. For cancellations after the 7 day cooling off period, please see section 7a.
2b. The balance of payment due must be received by us at least six (6) weeks before the date of arrival. We are not obligated to send you a reminder however we will do our utmost to contact you. If you do not pay the balance in time we may be forced to offer your reserved dates to another guest. Your deposit is non-refundable.
2c. Cancellations: Any cancellations must be made by the person who made the booking in writing, by post and a supporting signature or via e‐mail with a corresponding telephone call to confirm identity. If the lead name on the booking needs to be changed we would require similar authorisation. Please note that you may be able to claim back any lost monies under your travel insurance.
2d. “the prices advertised online and in our documentation are accurate at the time of going to press” however, we reserve the right to change our Tariffs without notification for example if the Government request changes such as changes to Value Added Tax (VAT) then we may have to pass this on to you.
2e. In the case of bookings made less than twenty eight (28) days before the date of arrival full payment must accompany the booking. If you do not pay the balance in time we may be forced to offer you preferred dates to another guest.
2f. If you wish to change the date of your booking we will attempt to accommodate this request based on the following criteria:
i. There is availability for the requested date.
ii. An admin fee of £25 is met.
iii. The difference of monies between the original date and the new date is met if required.
iv. No monies shall be refunded if the new date is at a lower rate than the original date unless another client wishes to purchase the original date(s).
v. The request is made no less than six (6) weeks prior to the original
arrival date or the new arrival, whichever is sooner.
vi. We can refuse the request without reason.
vii. If we are able to find another client to take your original date we will contact you to offer you the change of date.
3. Special requests: We shall endeavour to meet all special requests wherever possible; however we do not give a guarantee. Port Lympne and Howletts Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to protect its business and staff under the Food Safety Act. In accordance with the act we therefore denounce the right to any claim, report or complaint for any illness caused or diagnosed after the consumption of food provided by yourself or your guest.
4. As the short breaks are situated within a Wild Animal Park, management reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour. You must take the necessary steps to comply with what will be a reasonable request. In the event of failure to adhere to management requests, we reserve the right to terminate the contract and stop the occasion without being liable to any refund or compensation. You will be liable for any further costs incurred due to unacceptable behaviour and disruption. We would ask all guests to take into consideration their fellow guests, employees of Port Lympne & Howletts and the animals that reside on PL&H Estate properties. Failure to do so can result in removal from PL&H property, termination of any contracts and loss of any monies that have been paid.
5. You are responsible for any damage caused to, or theft from allocated tents or rooms or the furnishings, utensils and equipment therein or to the short break environments generally by any act, default or neglect. You shall pay Howletts and Port Lympne Estates Ltd an acceptable amount required to make good or remedy any such damage or theft.
6. If you wish to cancel your short break we require that all requests are recorded in writing and a confirmation of cancellation can be sent on request. It is always the responsibility of the customer to ensure that you have all your necessary travel documents and travel insurance in place.
7. If we change or cancel your short break: It is unlikely that we will have to make any changes to your stay but occasionally we may have to make changes and reserve the right to do so at any time, for example if the minimum number of clients required for a particular night is not reached, we may have to cancel it. However, we will not cancel your booking less than 9 weeks before your arrival. If we have to change your arrangements we will contact you to agree on new dates and where necessary will offer a full refund.
7a. You have 7 days in which to cancel and receive a full refund or can change the date of arrival.
7b. If you cancel 56 days or more before arrival; you will be refunded 75% of booking value
7c. If you cancel 55-43 days and have paid the full amount you will be refunded 60% of the value of the booking.
7d. If you cancel 28 days or fewer before arrival no monies are due to be refunded.
Change of dates outside of the 7 days will incur an admin fee of £25 and are subject to availability.
8. Force Majeure: Port Lympne Wild Animal Park accepts no responsibility for and shall not be liable in respect of any loss or damage or alterations, delays or changes arising from
circumstances outside of our control including but not limited to industrial dispute, travel delays, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, power failure.
9. Travel insurance: In case of illness we recommend that you take out travel insurance. By choosing not to be insured you agree to indemnify the Company against all costs, losses and liabilities which we may incur and which are not our liability under this contract and which would have been avoided had suitable insurance cover been taken by you.
10. Our liability to you: We accept responsibility that when you book with us all accommodation, food and activities are of a reasonable standard. If any part is not provided as promised, except in cases amounting to force majeure, or where we or our suppliers have not been at fault, or situations outside of our control, we will refund you and ensure we provide appropriate compensation if this has adversely affected the enjoyment of your holiday. We accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers except where they lead to death, injury or illness. Further we accept responsibility for death, injury or illness caused by the negligent acts and/or omissions of our employees or agents, together with our suppliers or subcontractors whilst acting within the scope of, or in the course of their employment in the provision of your stay. We will accordingly pay to our clients such damages as might be awarded in such circumstances under English Law. We accept liability for matters that arise as a direct result of our negligence and or breach of contractual duty to exercise care in making arrangements for you.
11. Seasonal factors: A great deal of care is taken to ensure that accuracy of the information within our brochures are correct, however, facilities and services may not be open or available due to renovation/ maintenance works. We will endeavour to make you aware of these issues in advance of your stay however when there is adverse weather, as an animal park from time to time at the managers discretion we may have to close areas of the park at short notice.
12. Complaints and problems: We do our best to give you an enjoyable, trouble‐free short break but occasionally even the best‐laid plans can go wrong. In the event of a problem whilst you are staying with us, please inform the relevant member of staff immediately so that we may investigate and rectify the matter. If the matter cannot be resolved locally, please do let us have your complaint in writing within 28 days from your stay.
13. Additional guests. Where possible extra guests and children will incur a charge for additional laundry and food. To ensure we do not exceed our fire regulations:
13a. The Livingstone Cottage sleeps a maximum of 8 adults and 2 infants in travel cots (not provided)
13b. A Livingstone Lodge Tent sleeps a maximum of 2 the lower age limit being 12 years old. (Camp beds can be requested and at an extra cost, but the total number of guests at Livingstone Lodge cannot exceed 20,unless booked out exclusively 22)
13c. An Elephant Lodge tent sleeps a maximum of 8 and 1 infant in a travel cot (not provided), in some cases it is a maximum of 7 and 1 infant in a travel cot.
13d. these rules and regulations are put in place to keep you and employees safe and to protect us from damage. Failure to obey these rules can results in fees or fines to cover damage and could lead to your removal from our accommodation.
14. Data protection: In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 (UK) please be assured that we have measures in place to protect the personal booking information held by us. We will hold your information, where collected by us, and may use it to inform you of offers or to send you brochures. 15. We (The Company) reserve the right to amend the terms and conditions without notification; this does affect your statutory rights.
