Terms and Conditions

GATE TICKETS & ONLINE TICKETS

Tickets purchased online cannot be used with any other discount or promotional offer including Tesco Clubcard vouchers.

Tickets are valid for the specified date and park only.  You will receive an e mail confirmation with a copy of your ticket. Remember that you must bring your printed ticket with you on the day of your visit to be admitted to the park. Failure to do so may affect your entry to the park.  Tickets purchased online may be upgraded to the Howletts or Port Lympne Passport on entry to the park, subject to an additional charge.

Safari at Port Lympne is subject to availability on a first come first served basis.

Single visit tickets sold online are for standard price adult and child tickets only as concession tickets include a discounted price when purchased at the gate entrance and therefore cannot be further discounted online. 

Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse entry and to make any changes to the structure of the parks.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser to check that all information supplied for the purchase of online tickets is correct prior to completion of the purchase. Failure to do so may result in additional charges at the entry kiosk or voiding of the ticket.

Entry to Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks will only be granted on presentation of a valid print at home ticket. All printed tickets must be clearly legible and it is the responsibility of the purchaser to present and relinquish them on entry to the parks.

Any additional visitors accompanying an online ticket purchaser will be charged the standard entry fee.

Proof of entitlement is required at the entry kiosk for certain ticket types e.g. students.

20% discount online is only available to adult and child tickets.

Opt-Out donation

Visitors will be admitted upon payment of the Standard Tariff if they choose not to contribute the additional 10% voluntary donation.

Please note that children aged 16 or under must be accompanied by an adult to gain entry to the park.

Howletts Passport

Passport tickets for Howletts or Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks are not yet available online.  You can upgrade your ticket purchased online to a Passport on entry to your chosen park for an additional charge

Howletts Passport is valid for 12 months from date of activation for use at Howletts Wild Animal Park only.

Treetop challenge is subject to an additional charge

Entry is only available to the authorised user of the card who will be identified by the corresponding photograph on our secure database

Membership is not transferable or refundable.

Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Howletts Wild Animal Park cannot accept responsibility for your card if it is lost, stolen or damaged.  There is a £5 charge to replace a card.

Port Lympne Passport

Safari subject to availability on a first come first served basis

Port Lympne Passport is valid for 12 months from the date of activation for use at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park only.

Entry is only available to the authorised user of the card who will be identified by the corresponding photograph on our secure database.

Membership is not transferable or refundable

Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park cannot take responsibility for any card that is lost, stolen or damaged.  There is a £5 charge to replace a card.

The Port Lympne Passport cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers or promotions including Tesco Clubcard Vouchers.

Ranger Logbook will be issued free when you sign up to the Port Lympne Passport however for any subsequent visits there will be a small charge for a new Ranger Logbook.

Port Lympne Wild Animal Park reserves the right to make any changes to the structure of the park.

When you apply for the Howletts or Port Lympne Passport we will take a photograph of you. This photo will be used to identify you as the legitimate holder of your passport card when you visit the park. The Passport can only be used for admission by the person named on the front of the card and we may check Passport cards and photo ID on entrance to the park.  This photo and any personal information you give us will be stored on our secure database, and will be used solely for identification purposes and will not be available to third parties.  Your photograph will be used only for the administration of the Passport scheme. All the data we collect will be treated as confidential and used in keeping with our obligations under the Data Protection Act 1998. We may from time to time analyze your data. This is confidential and will not be made available to external companies.  Customers under the age of 16 require parental consent when providing any personal information.  Customers who sign up to the Passport Scheme will be automatically subscribed to email Newsletters. The Newsletter will be sent out periodically and provide updates, information on special events, new contests, and special offers. This Newsletter can be cancelled at any time by following the simple steps outlined at the bottom of the Newsletter.

ENTRY CONDITIONS

Tesco Clubcard Vouchers are not valid in conjunction with the Half Term 2 for 1 Ticket Offer

Children under 3 years are admitted free to Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks.

Children aged 16 years and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Howletts and Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse admission.

Dogs and other pets are not permitted to the park. Please do not leave your dogs in the car. We recommend that you make alternative arrangements for your pets before visiting.

As parts of Port Lympne are quite steep, we offer reduced admission for less-able guests and have selected routes for wheelchairs. Please ask for advice. This discount is not available with online tickets.

Our parks are very different from conventional zoos. The animals, which include rare and endangered species, are able to live and breed in conditions as close to their natural habitat as possible. This can mean that when the weather is inclement some of our animals will seek shelter in their indoor enclosures, which are always open to them but not on view to the public and you may wish to consider this when planning your visit.

Please do not feed the animals as they receive strictly controlled diets and you may cause them harm.

Please do not bang on windows at exhibits or climb on or cross the safety barriers.

In the interests of safety barbeques, balls, balloons, scooters, bikes, rollerblades or skates are not permitted in the parks.

Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to alter or cancel any events, presentations or feeding times without notice if required. Visitors are reminded that any advertised exhibits, attractions or facilities may be closed, removed, altered or otherwise unavailable at any time for safety, operational or animal welfare reasons.

EVENT TERMS & CONDITIONS - THESE APPLY TO ALL EVENTS

This ticket cannot be exchanged or refunded unless the event is cancelled. Each member of the audience must possess a valid ticket.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks reserve the right to refuse admission and to make changes to the event without prior notice.

No dogs are permitted within the parks.

We reserve the right to amend, cancel or postpone events at short notice and advise that you call the main reception on 01303 264647 to check before you visit. No commercial filming, recording or photography of any kind in any media is permitted without permission of Howletts & Port Lympne Wild Animal Parks.

Roar ‘N' Snore 2012 Terms and Conditions

Please read the following terms and conditions as payment constitutes acceptance. Please also note that your receipt for payment is now classed as your ticket.

Definitions and Parties:  In these terms and conditions:  

  • The Company means Howletts & Port Lympne Estates Ltd (HPLE)
  • We, site, site manager or owners shall mean the Company
  • The Event is Roar ‘N' Snore which takes place on the weekend of 9th & 10th June 2012
  • The site/ Grasslands refers to area outside of the main park
  • Suppliers are suppliers we sub contracted to help us to deliver a quality event
  • All suppliers will be CRB checked
  • The Guest, Client, holder, you or your shall mean the person who has paid the deposit or ticket in full as the Lead Booking

1.    This ticket is issued subject to the rules and regulations of the site owners, operators and management
2.    The possession of this ticket shall constitute an acceptance by the holder of these conditions and imply and undertaking on the part of the guest to observe them. In the event of any breach of these conditions, HPLE reserves the right to cancel this ticket and retain any monies paid therefore
3.    On receipt of your ticket please ensure that you carefully check the information in advance your visit; as mistakes may not be easily rectified on the day
4.    We cannot be held responsible for any receipts that are lost or stolen
5.    The Tariffs set out are accurate at going to press, however we reserve the right to change our Tariffs without notification for example if the Government request changes such as changes to Value Added Tax (VAT) then we may have to pass this on to you
6.    HPLE reserves the right to refuse entry of the ticket holder to the event site or to ask ticket holders to leave the site if their attitude or behaviour is deemed unacceptable
7.    Tickets are not transferable. No money will be refunded or tickets exchanged after purchase unless the event is cancelled.   No tickets may be used for competitions, promotions or hospitality packages without the written consent of the owner. Any ticket re-sold or transferred in such a manner will become voidable and the ‘holder' may be refused admission or ejected from the site
8.    As the Grasslands is situated near to private housing the owners reserve the right to judge acceptable levels of noise or behaviour.  You must take the necessary steps to comply with what will be a reasonable request.   In the event of failure to adhere to management requests, we reserve the right to terminate the contract and stop the occasion without being liable to any refund or compensation. You will be liable for any further costs incurred due to unacceptable behaviour and disruption.
9.    In the event of cancellation, the owner's sole obligations and liability shall be to offer a ticket for an alternative date. No other claims will be entertained
10.    Admission to the site is at the guests own risk. Neither the owner nor the site management shall be held liable for any loss, injury or damage sustained within the site
11.    Neither the owner nor suppliers shall have any further liability beyond the face value of the ticket purchased plus the relevant per ticket booking fee
12.    It is the guest's responsibility to ascertain whether an event has been cancelled and the date and time of any rearranged event. If the event is cancelled or rescheduled, we will use reasonable endeavours to notify ticket holders of the cancellation.  We do not guarantee that guests will be informed of such cancellations before the date of the event. There will be no other refunds other than on cancellation or substantial alteration of the event
13.    As you will be camping out on an open field, HPLE are unable to accept liability for personal damages, losses, or injuries sustained at this event, including damage and losses to property, which includes tents, and motor vehicles.  We strongly recommend that you take out Travel Insurance
14.    The following items may  not be brought into the site:
  • No illegal substances may be brought in to the site - any found will lead to prosecution
  • Illegal substances
  • Portable laser equipment and pens
  • Audio recorders
  • Air Horns
  • Spray Cans
  • Fireworks and Flares
  • Balloons

During the event
1. Strobe lighting may be used at the event
2. You will be able to arrive onto the Grasslands from 09.00 on the Saturday 10th June 2012 and we ask that you depart the grasslands by. Please note the Wild Animal Park opens at 09.30 on each day and closes at 18.30 with last admission at 15.00
3. There must be at least 3 metres between each guests pitch
4. The event will take place outdoors, guests are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear and protection against potential inclement or hot weather
5. Guests are not permitted to create cordoned off areas anywhere on the grasslands
6. On arrival your receipt will be exchanged for wristbands. Wristbands are non-interchangeable and should be worn throughout the duration of the event, wristbands that have appear to have been tampered with will become in valid
7. Any guest found to be behaving in a manner deemed unsociable or potentially dangerous will be ejected from the site without refund
8. No dogs are allowed on either the grasslands or into the park as this is a wild animal park
Guests should note that they should only buy merchandise from our suppliers within the event site. For more help on the day, please refer to the on-site information point
9. No trading should take place during the event with other guests without the prior consent of the owners
10. Special requests, which include food.  We endeavour to meet, where possible, special requests made in advance of your arrival, however no guarantee can be given.  HPLE reserves the right to protect its business and staff under the Food Safety Act.  In accordance with the act we therefore denounce the right to any claim, report or complaint for any illness cased or diagnosed after the consumption of food provided by yourself or your guest.
11. As of July 2007 no smoking is permitted in enclosed public areas
12. Under 18's must be accompanied at all times by an adult
13. No amplified music is allowed
14. Open fires are not permitted
15. Guests should only camp on the designated sites and not on the access lane
16. No authorised buses,  coaches, trucks, campervans or caravans will be allowed on site without HPLE consent
17. Please ensure all litter is put in bins and that your pitch is completely clear when you depart
18. Force Majeure:  Port Lympne Animal Wildlife Park accepts no responsibility for and shall not be liable in respect of any loss or damage or alterations, delays or changes arising from circumstances outside of our control including but not limited to industrial dispute, travel delays, natural disaster, fire or adverse weather conditions, power failure
19. Travel insurance:  We recommend that you take out travel insurance.  By choosing not to be insured you agree to indemnify the owners against all costs, losses and liabilities which we may incur and which are not our liability under this contract and which would have been avoided had suitable insurance cover been taken by you
20. Seasonal factors:  A great deal of care is taken to ensure that accuracy of the information with our brochures are correct, however, facilities and services may not be open or available due to renovation/ maintenance works.  We will endeavour to make you aware of these issues in advance of your stay however when there is adverse weather, as an animal park from time to time at the managers discretion we may have to close of areas of the park at short notice
21. Complaints and problems:  We do our best to give you an enjoyable, trouble-free holiday but occasionally even the best-laid plans can go wrong.  In the event of a problem whilst you are staying with us, please inform the relevant member of staff immediately.  As you will understand this gives us the opportunity to investigate and rectify.  If the matter cannot be resolved locally, please do let us have your complaint in writing within 28 days from your stay
22. All of these terms and conditions are governed by English Law and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts
23. Guests found to be causing damage to the site, the site infrastructure, causing harm to any other person on the site or in breach of these conditions will be subject to prosecution
24. Data protection:  In accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 (UK) please be assured that we have measures in place to protect the personal booking information held by us.  We will hold your information, where collected by us, and may use it to inform you of offers or to send you brochures.  If you change your mind and wish to be removed from our mailing list please put your request in writing to Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, Lympne, Nr Ashford, Kent CT21 4PD or info@aspinallfoundation.org

 

The Aspinall Foundation Prize Draw 

1. This prize draw is organised and promoted by The Aspinall Foundation (registered charity number 326567).

2. The prize draw is open to all residents of the UK over the age of 18 except employees of Howletts and Port Lympne wildlife parks, The Aspinall Foundation or any of the Aspinall group companies.

3. One entry per ticket purchased or alternatively per user registered on the website.

4. Prize draws will be made on the following quarter dates, 31 March, 30 June, 30 Sept, and 31 Dec from entries made in the preceding quarter.

5. Prize winners will be chosen at random and notified by telephone within seven days of the draw being made. The winner will have 48 hours to confirm acceptance of their prize before an alternative winner is chosen at random.

6. Prize winners will be required to provide proof of age and identity before receiving their prize. In all matters, the decision of the judge(s) and The Aspinall Foundation shall be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into.

7. The prize is not transferable. The Aspinall Foundation reserves the right to substitute any prize for a prize of equal or greater value.

8. Prize winners agree to allow The Aspinall Foundation to use their name and likeness without compensation for the purposes of promoting and marketing the prize draws.

9. The Aspinall Foundation reserves the right to cancel or change the prize draw at any time and will endeavour to give advance notice of any such change or withdrawal. However advance notice may not always be possible.

10. Under no circumstances will The Aspinall Foundation or any Aspinalls group company (including parents, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the promotion or the prize.

11. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law.

VIP Days Out Prize Draw

1.  All entries must be submitted by midnight on 31st May 2010

2.  All correct entries will be put into the FREE PRIZE DRAW

3.  5 winners will be chosen at random and contacted .

4.  All prize winners must be must be available on either Saturday 26th June or Saturday 3rd July 2010 these dates are not transferable. Prize subject to availability and change

5.  Any Child who wins a VIP day at Port Lympne and is under the age or 16 years must be accompanied by an adult during their VIP day

6.  Prize winners will be notified by telephone and post after 31st May 2010
