The beautiful Port Lympne Mansion and Gardens
Port Lympne - A 1920s Stately Home. Port Lympne Mansion was built for Philip Sassoon between 1914 – 1920. The Mansion was a lavish and expensive project, and has many internal features typical of the extravagances of the ‘Roaring 1920’s’ era. Many of the world’s leading professional craftsmen were employed to complete its construction, including architect Sir Herbert Baker, famous for the design of New Delhi in India and the renowned designer Philip Tilden.
Stunning Art Deco Murals
The mansion house is located in 600 acres of its wild animal park in Kent and consists of delightful mural painted rooms by famous English artists Rex Whistler, Spencer Roberts and Martin Jordan.
