Wild Animal Park Offers Prize Of A Lifetime
Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent has donated a unique prize to the Heart ‘Have a Heart’ Campaign starting on 5th March 2012.
Bidders taking part in the radio station’s on – air auction, broadcast on the Heart Kent Breakfast Show on Friday March 9th, could walk away with an exclusive stay for up to eight people at the park’s brand new accommodation, Livingstone Cottage.
Upon arrival at the wild animal park near Ashford, the lucky winner and their guests will be welcomed at the Mansion with a champagne cream tea, followed by a private VIP safari to see giraffe, black rhino, ostrich, zebra, wildebeest and many others roaming freely as if on the plains of Africa. After settling in at the tastefully decorated Livingstone Cottage, an authentic African dinner will be prepared by the private chef as the group relax with a glass of bubbly and are entertained by one of our bona fide rangers, recalling his experiences gained whilst working on reserves in Africa.
In addition to this unique overnight experience the winner and their guests will embark on a VIP behind the scenes tour of the wild animal park the following day. This ‘money can’t buy’ experience will allow the group to come face to face and even feed some of the animals at the park.
The Have a Heart charity fundraising campaign was launched in July 2009 and aims to improve the lives of disadvantaged children living in the communities served by the network. This year the appeal will run from Monday 5th March to Friday 9th March and will be supporting the work of ChildLine.
Livingstone Cottage is the latest accommodation option at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, offering guests the chance to wake up to the sounds of the Serengeti - with a private chef, superbly decorated luxury rooms and a VIP safari to view a wide variety of animals roaming over 100 acres of Kentish savannah, Livingstone Cottage provides an authentic African experience with stunning views of the Kent coastline.
Sam Lloyd, Sales Manager at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park said: ‘At Port Lympne we work tirelessly to protect rare and endangered species, but we are also committed to the communities who support us. We are delighted to offer this prize and hope that it will prove popular at the auction and raise much needed funds for this great campaign. Livingstone Cottage is a wonderful experience that we are justly proud of and we hope that the winning bidder will be delighted with their prize.’
