Mother's Day Lunch
The Mansion & Gardens at Port Lympne near Ashford is putting on a special three course menu for Mothers Day this March within the historic mansion – not normally open to the public.
Nestled in the heart of Port Lympne Wild Animal Park, the mansion is the perfect location to celebrate Mothers Day this year. Visitors can work up an appetite by taking a safari to view the energetic African painted puppies, in their enclosure on The African Experience and watch many other animals as they roam across 100 acres of Kentish savannah. Later, stroll around the rest of the park to see western lowland gorillas, Barbary lions, tigers, elephants and many more set against stunning and far reaching views over the Kent coast.
Sam Lloyd, Sales Manager said: ‘At this time of year the park is a lovely place to spend the day seeing some of our wild mums and their babies. We have wonderful far reaching views over the Kent countryside to the coast beyond so start the day with a safari and a stroll and then join us in the Mansion for a mouth watering meal.’
Delicious dishes on offer include endive, walnut and blue cheese salad, roasted tomato soup or a crown of asparagus wrapped in filo pastry and parma ham to start, followed by a choice of supreme of chicken with a wild mushroom sauce, potato and parmesan tart and exotic curried leg of Kentish lamb with braised onions and rosemary potatoes . A tempting choice of three delicious desserts including, chocolate and hazelnut delice, sticky toffee pudding and a glazed lemon tart provide the perfect finish to the meal. Download the menu here.
Sam added: ‘Our new chef has created some wonderful dishes for Mothers Day this year and our resident pianist will be accompanying the meal with some classical music played on our rare baby grand piano.’
Prices and Booking
Prices start from £29.95 for adult passport holders and £15.00 for children or £35.00 for Non passport holders and £17.00 for children. Non passport holders will need to pay for admission to the park and a non refundable deposit of £10.00 per person is required to secure your booking as space is regrettably limited.
