Forest rangers from the Natural Resources Conservation Bureau, West java (BBKSDA), Bogor regency, were informed that a local villager was caring for a baby javan gibbon in his house.

Six years ago only 60 greater bamboo lemurs were known in the wild, making it one of the most endangered and elusive mammals in the world.
