Agolo came to us from Le Pal Zoo in France and lives at Howletts with two adult female gelada baboons called Jima and Sereba and his son Leena. Sereba gave birth to Leena in December last year and he is still small enough to be seen clinging to his mother for comfort. They are all located in an open top enclosure near the entrance of the park and are fascinating to watch. They share their outdoor enclosure with the Black and White Colobus Monkeys - who prefer to stay out of the way of the ground-dwelling gelada! Agolo is very greedy with his food and Leena takes care to steer clear when there is food about.
